  • Do you mentor new dental assistants in a dental practice?
Yes, in fact it's one of my favourite tasks.
  • How often will you attend my clinic?
This would be negotiated at the time that a plan is presented to you. I can be on site once or twice a week or once a month, the pace is mutually negotiated.
  • Is there a contract for your services?
There is an agreement for me to supply services that are mutually determined, in a designated and mutually agreed time frame. The agreement contains information pertinent to confidentiality, privacy, payment terms and safety etc. I am most conscious of the fact that I am entering a privileged situation, and the agreement speaks to our mutual professionalism and conduct therein.
  • What are your rates?
As a dental practice consultancy, I have found that because dental practices vary in size, location, staff numbers, frequency of consultancy need and type of consultancy need, it is best to offer a free consultation and quote for future engagement of services.
  • Do you undertake Accreditation for dental clinics?
Yes, I have had vast experience and success in this process. I am more than happy to train staff at your clinic and support them as they undertake it as well. I also have many of the templates and registers that you would require for this process.
  • Can we meet over ZOOM before you visit my clinic?
Of course! I would be happy to fit in with your schedule and requirements.
  • Have you had much experience in the dental industry?
Yes, I have had many years of experience in dental assisting, practice management and training. I have accredited multiple dental clinics and worked as a leader in multi site and specialist clinics.
  • Do you conduct group training?
Yes. Small groups benefit mostly from this particularly. My Cert 4 Training and Assessment and subsequent experience in assessment and development have allowed me to engage meaningfully with all age groups and abilities.
  • Do you train Front Office Staff?
Whilst I have worked on front office for many years, I am aware that there are many Dental Practice Management packages out there and feel the most comprehensive training is from their support (which you will most likely have paid for anyway). I am more than happy to train front office staff to complete the documentation and audits required of Accreditation.
  • I have a few staff issues, do you handle staff culture and HR?
Whilst I am not a qualified HR consultant, I have worked with complex teams and have gained experience in Performance Review and Management, Psychosocial Risk and Employee Assistance Programmes along with completing several Mental Health First Aid courses. I would advise you to seek Industrial Relations Advice from an HR specialist if you have any entitlement concerns, however, I have a proven track record as a leader of diverse teams and Leadership is one of my passions.
  • What do I need to have ready for the initial consult appointment?
In our phone call prior to setting a visit date we will determine what you will need to prepare. I have found that getting a feel for a dental clinic, observing processes and listening to staff is where I learn most of the information. If you have documents that need review, we can set that up prior to the visit as well.
